Becoming a constitutional patriot is a simple process that only requires your time and energy. There are several programs across the internet that the Constitution Party has no relationship with but by their virtue of their character unbeknownst to these programs we solicit our members to voluntarily participate in their programs. Most of these programs are free requiring at most an email address to sign up. Some of them will require your legal name because they confer a PDF certificate of completion for your personal records.
There are several areas of instruction that a Constitutional Patriot must concern themselves with in order to gain a baseline understanding of the underlying principles of the Constitution Party. Members completing these programs should forward a copy of their certificates to their County Committee Secretary for appropriate record keeping. In the not to distant future, individuals having completed the following courses, even if they consider these courses as refreshers, will be encouraged to take leadership positions.
While we are searching for more course providers, Hillsdale College’s offerings are hard to beat; they provide Reading, Study guide, and very well made Video lectures. The Mises Institute provides short video lectures. If you find a course somewhere that you think ought to be included here, please advise us at info@wyomingcp.com.
Constitutional Republic
The United States of America, as designed, is a constitutional republic; meaning that we use the principles of democracy to elect one or more representative of the public (constituents). What we are not is a “pure democracy” because such notions of government are perpetually a single incident away from anarchy. The term “Republic” can be remembered as follows: “Re” is short for “Representative”, and “Public” meaning the public or more accurately the voting Constituents. A “constitutional republic” is a set of universal rules embodied in a “constitution” that the representatives are bound to follow. The genius of our Constitution is that it can be amended and therefore it can never be said to be “out dated”
