2024, Jeff is running for US House of Representatives
Haggit for House
Jeff Haggit, state chairman of the Constitution Party of Wyoming and candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives, believes that elections are about choices. In a recent interview about his drive for Congress, the longtime Mountain View, Wyo., resident said, “my intention is to provide the citizens of Wyoming an opportunity to vote for someone who will not waver from their sworn duty to uphold Constitutional law, protect their rights, and work to restore the multitude of liberties robbed from them by both Republicans and Democrats through political sleight of hand in the name of security.”
“Thomas Jefferson said, ‘the policy of American government is to leave its citizens free, neither restraining them nor aiding them in their pursuits,’” Haggit continued. He stressed the Declaration of Independence includes, among our unalienable rights, that of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The role of government must be to protect these rights and many others that are being chipped away at, particularly those enumerated in the Bill of Rights.
Haggit believes remedying this unconstitutional intrusion of government must include disassociating ourselves entirely from the United Nations, defunding the World Health Organization and securing our nation’s borders. “A nation which does not have secure borders is not really a sovereign nation at all,” Haggit emphasized.
Haggit currently serves as the state chairman of the Constitution Party of Wyoming and is an alumnus of the Uinta County Leadership Institute’s class of 2016. He also served on the United Way of Southwest Wyoming’s Uinta Advisory Council.
“Wyoming only has one delegate to the U.S. House of Representatives,” Haggit concluded. “I am running so that our incredible state, and its hard-working residents, have someone in Washington who will serve according to their oath to support the Constitution. The people of the Cowboy State deserve nothing less.”
